Bed Wood

• Oak is sanded, grooved, and cut to size. Pine is planed to thickness, grooved and cut to size.
• Mounting holes can be drilled according to the original pattern. These are countersunk to make the washer flush with the wood.
• Available in oak or pine. 
• Oak is FAS or "FACE and better" grade which means that the top face is free of defects.  Pine is grade "C" which means that knots in the wood are maximum 3/8" firm.
• Hard, durable woods, with a thickness of 3/4".
• Wood is kiln dried (NOT treated).  This is a process of heating the boards to reduce the amount of moisture to less than 10 percent.   Kiln drying helps prevent the boards from cracking and warping after installation.
• We recommend that you finish your wood as soon as possible after you receive it in order to achieve the best results.
• Heat shields are highly recommended to protect the wood floor from high exhaust temperatures.
