How to Remove Labels from Sheet Metal Surfaces
MAR-K has labels on each of our sheet metal parts to help keep the parts identified and to make sure the correct part gets shipped to you. The following is more information on how to correctly
remove those labels.
With a rag containing laquer thinner, wipe over the label to moisten.
Use a razor blade held at a 45 degree angle to surface and carefully scrape in one direction.
Go back over area with rag used in step 1 to remove any remaining label or glue resin.
Wipe dry with a clean rag.
You may also want to try a hair dryer. This heats the label and makes it easy to peel off. This works for labels on a variety of surfaces!
