GENERAL REAR PAN INSTALLATION
- The first step is to remove the bumper and brackets.
- Hold the pan up in the space between the bed sides and determine placement.
- Be sure to check that the tailgate will open and shut to your satisfaction before securing the pan to the rear sill.
- Holes are predrilled in the pans for help in bolting it to the sill. If you are planning to weld the seams, (some models will require this) tack weld each end.
- Check the alignment before completely welding the seam.
- Fill the welded seams with body filler or lead, and grind seam to the body contour.
- If you are bolting the pan at the seams, brackets are included for attachment to the bed side.
